Dear Valued Clients,
Happy Halloween! I know I get overly excited about Halloween but it has always been my favorite holiday. I realize Christmas is amazing and much more meaningful which I truly indulge in and enjoy it every year. However, there is something unique about Halloween that makes it special. Kids get to be kids and dress up, goof off, and take their sugar highs out on their teachers. I get to see all the pirates, zombies, princesses, and monsters ringing my door.
I also get to watch (and honestly feel a little sad) when 8th graders to high school students trick or treat, trying to hold on one more year of being a kid but are slightly embarrassed about it. Forget that embarrassment! I give them the most candy for going for it. I mean shouldn’t we all do that?!
Perhaps most importantly, Halloween announces that Fall is finally here (my absolute favorite time of year) while opening the gate and ushering us towards Thanksgiving and Christmas. A time of cooler weather, earlier evenings, killer sunsets, and when daily life becomes more focused on family, fun, and celebration.
Halloween also represents the business side of things slowing down. Companies begin planning next year’s strategies and calculating their year-end results. Sales people work extra hard to finish strong and get that cruise or Cabo trip. And real estate typically slows with prices sliding and fewer homes on the market.
When comparing to Summer, real estate sales are down 28{c8f127ee0ae8e843244cc4fdd37fe5c6d1494d04024f10fe6afe3d18700f5f1b} and 10{c8f127ee0ae8e843244cc4fdd37fe5c6d1494d04024f10fe6afe3d18700f5f1b} for Murrieta and Temecula, respectfully. The combination of seller’s overpricing, kids back to school, an oversupply of homes, and vacations slowed the market for a dreadful August through early September. But with prices down, buyers have come back out and we have seen a definite increase in activity from mid-September to now. This October sales bump often trickles down once we get past mid November.
For your information, I have attached a list of November events in the area and a quick real estate update. I hope you have a wonderful Halloween and start to November! As always, if you or someone you know is out there looking to buy or sell, please give me a call. I will be happy to work hard on your or their behalf to get the best possible outcome!
Sincerely,
Stefan AKA Mr. Murrieta
