Fun Things to do Around Temecula in the Month of December 2014
Temecula
Snowbell Rockin’ Nights-
Every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening in the month of December you can head down to Old Town Temecula to listen to the Holiday Carols ring from the Temecula City Hall’s Bells synchronized to lights and music. Santa’s Electrical Parade-
December 5th beginning at 7pm, Old Town Temecula will be having their annual Electrical Light Parade in honor of Temecula’s 25th Anniversary. There will be floats, marching bands, and of course Santa Clause! Make sure to get there early for a good spot and bring some hot cocoa, chairs, and don’t forget the blankets to bundle up with. A Christmas Carol the Musical-
Saturday December 6th from 2:00-4:00pm the Old Town Temecula Community Theater will be presenting a Charles Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol. Tickets range from $10-25 Click on the following link for more info. A Christmas Carol
Santa in Old Town-
Every weekend in December take the kids and head down to Old Town Temecula to see Santa. He will be there from 10:00am to 6:00pm. Click on the following link for more info. Santa in Old Town
Temecula on Ice-
Get out those mittens and scarfs for the return of the Temecula ice skating rink in Old Town. The rink will be open on December 11th -January 4th. Admission is $10 and skate rentals are $4. Pennypickle’s Winter Wonderland-

Breakfast with Santa-
The morning of December 13th bring the kids over to the Community Recreation Center for breakfast with Santa. The cost is $7 per person. Make sure to get your spot now because space is limited. Click on the following link for more info. Breakfast with Santa
The Nutcracker Ballet-

New Year’s Eve Grape Drop-
Ring in the New Year Temecula style. On New Year’s Eve come out to the Civic Center in Old Town for a fun night of live bands, activities for the kids until 9:00pm, including party jump, face painting, and the ice rink will be open till 1:00 am. New Year’s Eve at Pechanga-
Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Pechanga this year. They will be hosting different celebrations at various locations in the resort. Murrieta
Festival of Trees and Push Cart Parade-
On Saturday December 6th in the Towns Square Park from 3:00pm – 8:30pm, the city of Murrieta will be having a Festival of Trees and Push Cart Parade. The parade starts at 5:00pm. There will be food vendors, craft village, kid’s area, and pictures with Santa. Choirs from around the valley will be caroling at the holiday festival. Click on the following link for more info. Menifee
Christmas Tree Lightening Event-
On Friday December 5th from 4:30pm – 7:30pm head over to the city of Menifee for their Christmas Tree Lightening Event which will be held at the Menifee Town Center Great Oak Tree Roundabout. Admission is free however there will be a small fee for the snow area. You are encouraged to bring canned goods for the Community Cupboard and also a new unwrapped toy for the Spark of Love toy drive. Click on the following link for more info on this fun event. San Diego
Balboa Park December Nights-
December 5th – 6th Balboa Park in San Diego will be having its annual December Nights in the park. Bring your friends and family out for a fun evening where the parks museums will be open the public free of charge from 5:00pm – 9:00pm both nights. There will also be musical and dance performances and food from around the globe. Don’t miss out on this once a year two night event. Click on the following link for more info. Holiday Wonderland-
Head out to Petco Park on weekends in December starting on the 5th – 24th. Adults are $15 kids are $10 and 3 and under are free. Get into the Christmas spirit and walk through the magical lightening displays, ride the Polar Express trains, explore Candyland, feed live reindeer, take a photo with Santa, and so much more. San Diego Bay Parade of Lights-
On Sunday December 14th and 21st, head down to San Diego for the time-honored holiday tradition brought to San Diego by the boating community. The parade takes place in the Bay with more than 80 boats decorated to a theme. The theme this year is Children’s Stories. Click on the following link for approximate times and locations to watch. 2014 Port of San Diego Big Bay Balloon Parade-
On December 26th the bayside streets of downtown San Diego will turn into the Big Balloon Parade with enormous balloon, more than any other parade! Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas-
