Murrieta California
It’s the first day of October today, which means that you only have only 30 days left to figure out that perfect Halloween costume. This is one of my favorite times of the year with all the pumpkin patches, corn mazes, changing leaves on the trees, and of course the decorations. In my monthly Murrieta California market report, I will be comparing the numbers from September and August. As always my stats are based on single family, detached residences, with 3+ bedrooms and 2+ baths.
- Total Number of Active Listings: 475
- Average Murrieta Listed Price: $411,464
- Number of Homes Sold in September: 123
- Average Selling Price for Murrieta in September: $363,860
- Average Days on the Market: 66
I can see right away that the number of homes currently on the market is not too far off from August’s number. We currently have 475 vs. 460 in August. That’s only a 3{c8f127ee0ae8e843244cc4fdd37fe5c6d1494d04024f10fe6afe3d18700f5f1b} increase. The average price that homes are being listed for hasn’t changed much either. There is only about a $4,000 decrease in price this month. We are still seeing a lack of buyers in the current market which in turn is making it challenging for sellers.
The amount of homes that have sold last month has dropped from 154 in August to 123 in September. That’s a difference of 20{c8f127ee0ae8e843244cc4fdd37fe5c6d1494d04024f10fe6afe3d18700f5f1b}. The average selling price has only increased by about $500. The market is pretty quiet at the moment with homes staying on the market for an average of 66 days and so few buyers out there. I am hoping to see a positive change in the market in the next few months.
